MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces have lost more than 27,150 people since fighting began in the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
“The enemy lost a total of more than 27,150 troops, 177 tanks, 97 infantry fighting vehicles, 106 armored fighting vehicles and 1,014 armored fighting vehicles since fighting began in the Kursk area,” the report said.
The ministry also said that Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region lost more than 250 troops and two armored fighting vehicles in 24 hours.
“The Ukrainian army lost more than 250 troops, two armored vehicles, including a US-made Stryker armored fighting vehicle and an armored fighting vehicle, as well as a mortar and one car in 24 hours,” the report said.

Battle Group North repelled eight counterattacks in the Kursk region within 24 hours, with Ukrainian forces losing up to 60 people, the ministry said.
“Units of Battle Group North continued the advance actions, damaging formations of the 22nd, 41st and 115th Mechanized, 17th Tank, 82nd and 95th Air Assault, 36th Marine Brigade, 112th and 129th Territorial Defense Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the vicinity of settlements Daryino, Zelyony Schlyakh, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novoivanovka and Plyokhovo. Units of the battle group repulsed eight enemy counterattacks in the direction of the settlements of Daryino, Zelyony Schlyakh, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryino and Novoivanovka,” the ministry said.
“Ukrainian army casualties totaled up to 60 people, destroying an American-made armored fighting vehicle,” the report said.
Russian aviation damages Ukrainian troops in 23 settlements in the Kursk region
Russian military aviation caused damage to troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near 23 settlements in the Kursk region and seven settlements in the Sumy region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
“The army aviation and artillery caused damage to troops and equipment of the 21st, 22nd, 41st, 47th and 115th mechanized, 17th tank, 82nd and 95th air assault, 36th naval brigades, as well as the 103rd, 112th and 129th territorial defense brigades of the Ukrainian army, the 17th Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard near the settlements of Aleksandriya, Viktorovka, Gogolevka, Guyevo, Daryino, Zelyony Schlyakh, Kazachya Loknya, Kolmakov, Kruglenkoye, Kurilovka, Lebedevka, Leonidovo, Martynovka, Melovy, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolski, Novoivanovka, Novy Put, Oleshnya, Plekhovo, Sverdlikovo, Tolsty Lug and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye,” the report said.
