But there was even bigger news for serious NFL fans on Monday.
Sean Stellato, better known as DeVito’s outspoken agentspent last season wowing and stunning Joe Buck Peyton and Eli Manning.
With DeVito set to take over for the Giants in Week 12, Stellato is expected to return to the picture, according to multiple reports.
“The best part of any Giants season lately is when Tommy DeVito’s agent gets a ton of airtime,” one fan tweeted.
When the Giants rallied in the fourth quarter to save the Green Bay Packers Last season from April 24 to 22, the internet went crazy for a then unknown man in the stands, dressed all in black, giving out friendly kisses and wagging his fingers in the old Italian way.
“The cop could break the internet,” said ESPN announcer Joe Buck.
“What’s going on?” Troy Aikman joked.
“They get kisses everywhere!” Buck said.
DeVito, an undrafted rookie, completed 17 of 21 passes for 158 yards, one touchdown and a 113.9 rating.

DeVito and his thick accent were initially the best part of his story, during a season in which Jones was lost for the year due to injury.
DeVito was seen as fun, likeable and a hometown product for the struggling Giants.
“I don’t have to worry about laundry, what I’m having for dinner, chicken cutlets and everything that’s waiting for me when I get there,” said DeVito, who lived with his parents.
“My mother still makes my bed. Everything is taken care of for me. To be honest, I don’t even know if I can find a place closer to here than where I live. It takes me twelve minutes to get here.”
DeVito went 3-1 as the starter for New York and pulled off a thrilling last-second win.
He also had an agent who dressed, talked and looked good.
“Look at DeVito. Who is the man he is talking to?’ Peyton Manning said on the ManningCast broadcast.
Then the Hall of Famer imagined what the officer would say to the New Jersey native.
“Hey, whatever you need, I’ve got you. I’ll take care of you, okay?’ Peyton said.

Eli knew exactly who the man in black was.
“Of course that’s his agent,” Eli said. “Come on, Tommy DeVito’s agent.”
While Peyton wondered what was in the officer’s bag, Eli knew the answer was obvious.
“Some chops,” Eli said. “Some chops for later.”
