CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Police have arrested 34-year-old Jamercion Bush of Cedar Rapids in connection with a robbery on Tuesday morning. It happened at the Wendy’s on 1st Avenue NE.
Witnesses told police that someone robbed the store at gunpoint and then ran away.
Bush was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with charges including first-degree robbery and felon in possession of a firearm.
Bush was previously charged with attempted murderdomestic violence and assaulting a police officer over a 2019 incident in which he stabbed his wife in the neck.
In that incident, the woman went to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and Bush was taken into custody after attempting to throw a rock at a police officer.
Bush pleaded guilty to intentionally causing bodily harm and armed with intent, and was sentenced to ten years in prison for that incident.
