Ten thousand demonstrators gathered, where they joined Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen, Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie and Correctional Services Minister Dr Pieter Groenewald to march to Freedom Park and deliver a memorandum of demands and objections to the bill.
