DISCUSSION:

As advertised, we made another run for the upper 70s and low 80s for today. 80 degrees was our record high today, set in 1994 and equaled in 2015. Not only did we break that record, today was also the hottest Election Day on record, breaking the record previously set on November 4, 2003. November 2, 2004, where we had a high of 82.

The coldest was November 5, 1991, where we only had a high of 42.

The wettest was November 7, 1995 with a rainfall of 1.62 inches, and the snowiest was November 4, 1997 and again on November 2, 1999, where we had a trace of snow.

As we move through the week, we will see our highs start to drop. We will hover around the 70s on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and around 60 for Sunday and Monday. While it will be cooler, it will still be above normal.

YOUR FIRST WARNING: CHANCE OF RAIN

Much needed rain chances are forecast from tonight. Most of us won’t see much until we leave on Wednesday. Then rain chances start to increase and remain in the forecast for Thursday. We have a break on Friday and then the chances increase again on Friday evening, into the weekend and even into next week.

Enjoy your evening!
