OPP are looking for perpetrator known to frequent the Ottawa region

The OPP are asking for the public’s assistance in their effort to locate a wanted federal offender known to frequent the Ottawa region.

Kevin Okrah is wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for violation of statutory parole. He was serving a prison sentence of five years, eleven months and twenty days for two counts of theft and use of a restricted/prohibited firearm; aggravated assault; to disguise on purpose; possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm/ammunition; possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order; two counts of failure to comply with the order; try all other indictable cases; and theft – all others, the OPP said in a news release Monday.

The Repeat Offender Enforcement Unit is asking for help in the search for Okrah, described as black, 26, 6-1 and 186 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

In addition to Ottawa, he is also known to frequent Toronto, Durham Region, Orillia and Laval, police said.
