SYLVANIA TWP. Ohio (WTVG) – A man accused of shooting two people in Sylvania Township has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges.

On October 10, a Lucas County Grand Jury indicted Sean Landis on two counts of attempted murder, aggravated burglary, two counts of assault and tampering with evidence.

Landis appeared in court on October 18 and pleaded guilty. Bail for Landis was set at $750,000, with 10% not allowed.

Landis’ pre-trial hearing is scheduled for November 1 at 9 a.m

Sylvania police say 53-year-old Sean Landis shot and killed a man and his husband on Crossfields Road on September 9. Police reported that the victims suffered serious injuries. Police said the alleged shooter is a former associate of one of the victims, although a motive has not yet been released.

The 911 calls detailed moments when the victims told dispatchers that someone had broken into their work hours and reported that one of them had been shot “four or five times.”

Authorities say the FBI and Las Vegas police cooperated and arrested him last week at the MGM in Las Vegas. He has since been extradited to Toledo and booked into the Lucas County Jail.

Editor’s note: There are various addresses in the file for Landis, with one listing him from Bridgeton, New Jersey and another listing him from Scottsdale, Arizona.
