Big brother star Sarah Griffiths spoke to her “stop the gloats” controversyand admits she feels “so terrible” about it.
During an episode last week, the recently evicted housemate he heard the slogan chanted next to Nathan King during a shopping task.
Hanah Haji later heard Sarah call her “gloaly”, and when questioned, Sarah said she was making an “unPC” and “funny pun”, referring to the political slogan ‘Stop the Boats’.

Hanah later expressed his dissatisfaction with the comment on the Diary Room, with Big Brother telling Sarah that they “cannot allow language that is likely to be considered offensive by housemates or the viewing public”.
Appears on Late and live Last night (November 12), following her eviction, Sarah admitted she “absolutely” regretted her comment.
“I felt so terrible that someone could be genuinely hurt and offended by something I said,” she said. “I was so grateful that Hanah came straight to me to handle it.
“She gave me the time and grace to explain myself, (where I) confirmed that I had absolutely no intention (to offend or hurt her). It made our friendship – which was already good – good continued and kept getting better, so I was really grateful for that.”

Sarah previously shared her regret about the comment in the house after she was reprimanded by Big Brother.
“I would obviously like to say that if I offended anyone by making these kinds of jokes, I sincerely 100% regret it,” she said.
“That’s because of my own stupidity and selfishness, where I thought I was making a joke with puns and something like ‘haha, good joke’, but I didn’t think in advance about how that would affect other people. That the original sentence might be offensive would be or would have connotations to.
“People’s feelings are completely valid and if they are offended by it, I am so sorry. I have no malice in my heart. I have no ill intentions towards anyone.”
