The YouTuber is on a journey to play almost every video game ever created

YouTuber Jeff Wires, after losing his video game collection in a tragedy, regained it all thanks to digital emulation. Now he has only one goal.

YouTuber Jeff Wires, also known as “Chronologically Gaming” on the platform, is on a mission to play as many video games as possible.

Wires started with games from 1971 and has already achieved its goal of having a large percentage of games for consoles, arcades, computers and mobile devices from the 1970s using emulation.

His YouTube bio details his expectations: “I’m trying something that’s never been done before. I play every video game in order of release,” he says.

“I host a live show where guests can remotely join and play games every weekday at 9pm CET, and I post the recordings here on YouTube. I started in 1971 and played every video game (console, handheld, PC and arcade) in the 70’s. And now we are in the 80s!”

The gaming specialist has its limits, however, as one particular game has at least 28,000 variations.

Games he will not play include adult games, Mahjong, Shougi, mainframe computer games, gambling or casino games, quizzes, demos, any build, any prototype, hack or bootleg, non-microprocessor games, any Commodore game 64 and every computer video game.

In a presentation about the beginnings of his hobby, Wires explained: “I was a big collector. I had a tragedy and lost my entire physical collection.

Since he could no longer be a “physical collector,” the YouTuber said he became a “digital collector.”

Wires has been working on video games since November 1982. In addition to his YouTube channel, the gaming enthusiast also broadcasts live on Twitch, where viewers can comment and rate his gameplay.

Like YouTuber, streamers like Twitch’s Kai Cenat often live stream while playing video games. It is worth noting that he is known for dressing up in costumes and decorating his bedroom according to the game he is playing.
