The Democratic Rep. Nikki Budzinski of Illinois is among those in her party calling for different economic positions after the election results.
“There’s a lot of deep research that we need to do as a party, I would say to Democrats, as it relates to connecting with the working class and working class issues. “So while I am someone who very much believes in the fact that the labor movement has built this middle class in our country, I think the labor movement, along with the Democratic Party, has a lot of work to do to connect with that middle class. people and their problems that they really try to solve at the kitchen table.
