Robbery in Adabraka: Jewelry store owners speak of incidents and losses for the first time

The owners of an Adabraka jewelry store that was recently robbed in broad daylight have spoken out about the incident

In a viral video, Mr. Clement Amo Baffour, one of the owners noted that the incident occurred while he was on his way to the store.

He noted that a customer had arrived at the store on November 2, 2024 to sell them some raw gold and was about to leave with the proceeds from the gold transaction.

However, the robbers broke in and fled with the loot money which was about GH¢6.2 million.

The co-owner of the company also shared some details about the incident. He noted that the thieves not only made off with the proceeds from the recent transaction, but also with additional personal funds to the victim.

The same store was robbed in July 2024

In another interview, Mr. Baffour indicated that this was not the first time a jewelry store had been robbed. He says that a similar incident occurred earlier, in July 2024. He noticed this in this incident the thieves made away with items worth GH¢1 million.

The robbers’ getaway vehicle was tracked to Ashaiman

In the meantime, YEN.com.gh previously reported that the vehicle involved of the robbery was traced back to Ashaiman.

This is after security agencies released images of the Toyota Highlander leaving the crime scene in Adabraka Accra.
