SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The Salt Lake City SWAT team responded to a situation involving the same suspect as an incident in early October.
Police said the 40-year-old suspect, who was not identified Thursday, was not allowed to be in the apartment complex at 1925 West and North Temple on Thursday evening.
The man held a woman against her will in an apartment before she eventually emerged safely, said Brent Weisberg of the Salt Lake Police Department.
Weisberg said police believe the man has access to weapons in the apartment.
Police asked SWAT to report to the scene out of an abundance of caution.
KUTV has reported on two other domestic standoff incidents at the same address, both also in 2024.
The suspect in the March incident is not the same as the suspect in this and the previous October incidents.
Weisberg said police tried to make contact with the man Thursday just after 9 p.m.
The police are currently not aware of any injuries.
