EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Evansville police say they found hundreds of doses of liquid narcotics in baby bottles during a traffic stop.
It was Tuesday afternoon on Highway 41 near I-64.
Police say a car driven by Raul Lopez drove past them on the highway.
They say a deputy was able to arrest him.
Authorities say the car smelled of marijuana and Lopez was asked to get out.
They say a passenger, Carlos Dominguez Jr., tried to reach under his seat.
Detectives say a gun was found where he tried to reach.
Authorities say baby bottles containing liquids that tested positive for oxycodone and codeine were found in the car.
They say they also found a digital scale, marijuana and a grinder.
Detectives say they discovered Lopez had a drug trafficking warrant out of Texas.
They say more drugs were found in the trunk, including marijuana and pills.
Authorities say there were hundreds of doses of drugs in total.
Lopez is charged with trafficking, weapons possession and possession. Dominguez is charged with drug possession.
