Kate Middleton is feeling ‘grateful’ this holiday season.
The Princess of Wales made a rare comment about her cancer journey while speaking to fans – including a fellow survivor – after the royal family’s Christmas Day service in England.
“The number of people who have written this year is extraordinary and I think cancer really resonates with so many families,” Middleton, 42, said outside Sandringham on Wednesday, as seen in footage obtained by the Daily Mail.
“People like you do all the hard work out there. I am extremely grateful.”

At one point, a woman told Middleton, “We’re all behind you, never forget that,” to which the royal family responded, “Thank you so much, (that’s) so kind.”
Middleton was also seen hugging Karen Maclean, a 73-year-old cancer survivor who battled cancer for 20 years.
Maclean told the Daily Mail that they “had a little chat about cancer” with King Charles III, who announced his cancer diagnosis in February.

Earlier this month, Middleton briefly speaking about her journey with cancer while talking to pop star Paloma Faith fourth annual carol service at Westminster Abbey.
“I didn’t know this year would be the year I just had,” she candidly noted.
Middelton announced she was cancer free in September, after being treated for almost the entire year.
“Although I have completed chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she said at the time.

She also expressed her gratitude for all the good wishes she received along the way, saying: “(Prince) William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from everyone who is helping us at this time. .”
The mother of three was originally announced her cancer diagnosis next March widespread speculation about her whereabouts due to her lack of public appearances at the time.
She said her cancer was discovered afterward undergo abdominal surgery in January.

Middelton was reportedly “working from bed” after her operation. She attended her first official work assignment at Windsor Castle in September when she organized a meeting with members of the Early Years campaign teamassociated with its Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood.
She made her first public appearance after completing her chemotherapy in October.
Before the engagement, she and William visited the Southport Community Center to meet those affected knife attack during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in July.
