Sudha Kongara’s ambitious project SK25 has finally got a stellar star cast and the shooting has also started significantly. With reports suggesting it would be the previously shelved film Purananooru starring Suriya, the filmmaker’s new cast includes actors like Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa Murali and Sreeleela. And now, the latest rumor suggests that a flashy title is in the offing for the Tamil film.
According to a report by Asianet, the title for which is eligible SK25 seems to be “1965”. This title derives its meaning from the fact that the plot of the film stems from a true incident that took place in that fateful year.
Moreover, the interesting addition of a year in the title of the film also takes inspiration from the Malayalam film 2018, starring Tovino Thomas, released in May 2023.
However, considering the hype surrounding the film already, it should be noted that an official confirmation on the title of this project is yet to be made by the makers.
It was on December 14 when the entire cast and crew of SK25 gathered for the auspicious puja ceremony for the film and thus the shooting began.

The news and pictures of the same caused quite a stir among fans on social media as just a few days before, speculations of a rift between filmmaker Sudha Kongara and Sivakarthikeyan had apparently arisen.
The Amaran star was buzzed about not being on the same page with a certain clean-shaven look that the director wanted him to sport for the film.
Moreover, it was also highlighted that a certain comparison with Karthi infuriated SK so much that he quietly left the sets without saying a word and even stopped communicating with Sudha.
However, later these rumors were considered unfounded, and in fact Sivakarthikeyan was indeed seen in a completely new look for SK25.
Besides Sivakarthikeyan reportedly playing the protagonist, Jayam Ravi It is said that he has been roped in for the role of the antagonist. On the other hand, Atharvaa would play a crucial role in the film.
Coming to Sreeleela, she would mark her Tamil debut with Sudha Kongara’s direction.
