Brian Callahan, head coach of the Tennessee Titans is expected to be on the hot seat. That’s what happens when a rookie head coach has a 3-13 record in the final week of the regular season.
However, recent reports have indicated that Callahan is expected to be retained for the 2025 season. There is a belief within the Titans organization that the team is improving, even if it doesn’t show up on the Sunday scoreboards.
Callahan was confronted with those reports during a press conference on Monday afternoon and responded to rumors that he would be back next season. Tennessee’s head coach showed confidence in the private conversations he had with the owner.
“I’ll keep that to myself. But yeah, I think every conversation I’ve had has been positive,” Callahan said of the behind-closed-doors conversations he’s had with ownership. “We have conversations that are necessary and that includes Ran (Carthon) and Chad (Brinker). I don’t pay that much attention to those reports. I just come in and try to do my job the best I can.” I can do it and I will do it as long as they let me. And if at some point – hopefully in a few years – someone says we don’t need your services anymore, then so be it.’
