Watch Jaden Ivey’s game-winning four-point play completes Pistons comeback to defeat Kings

Sacramento should have closed this game out. The Kings led the Pistons by 16 early in the fourth quarter, but Sacramento’s lack of defense came back to bite them. Again. But after a pair of Kevin Huerter free throws gave the Kings a 113-110 lead with 10.8 seconds left, it took a series of mistakes by the Kings to lead to this result:

Jaden Ivey with a four-point play gave the Pistons the win.

While Kings fans will argue that Ivey ran into Fox to commit the foul, replays show that even before that, Fox made contact with Ivey and grabbed his arm and shoulder.

As Kings coach Mike Brown said after the game, Ivey shouldn’t have gotten that 3-pointer off. The coaching staff had told the Kings to foul before every shot if they could, but the Pistons dribbled around for seven seconds before Ivey’s shot went clear. Brown also said Ivey should never have allowed Fox to sag on the turn down 3, he should have stuck with his man and let Malik Beasley drive the lane (let the Pistons have the two).

Cade Cunningham continued to look like an All-Star for the Pistons, scoring 33 points and adding 10 assists in the win. Beasley finished with 22 and Ivey with 19 for Detroit. Fox led the Kings with 26, while former King Trey Lyles had 20 off the bench.
