Hello 2025! These New Year’s Eve events will help you ring in the new year

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — It’s time to say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025.

There are plenty of ways to celebrate the New Year around Ann Arbor, whether you want to dance the night away, sip champagne or take your kids to a family-friendly activity during the day.

Here are some events taking place on New Year’s Eve on Tuesday, December 31st.

New Year’s Eve on location

The dinner at Venue by 4M, 1919 South Industrial Highway, is a four-course New Year’s Eve meal that costs $90 per person. Tickets include dinner, a champagne toast and a DJ performance from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Reservations start at 6:00 PM, while the last seating is at 10:00 PM

Y2K 25 New Year’s Eve Party

hear.say brewing + theater goes back in time for its celebration.

The mix of microbrewery and improv theater at 2350 W. Liberty St. celebrates what life was like 25 years ago, in 1999. Opening December 31 at 4 p.m., the party starts at 9 p.m. and continues until 1 a.m. give a free toast at midnight for all attendees.

The Blind Pig’s NYE ​​Party

The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor is adding live music to its list of New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Doors open at 8 p.m. at 208 S. First St. and tickets are $20 for general admission for anyone 21 or older.

The party will feature Detroit-based Strictly Fine, who will open the evening, followed by two sets from Ann Arbor’s Pajamas, often described as an “exploratory rock band” according to the event’s description. DJ Batz arrives later in the evening.

NECTO’s New Year’s Eve celebration

Party all night long at NECTO.

Doors open Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. at the nightclub at 516 E. Liberty St. General admission tickets are $30 for anyone 21 or older or $60 for anyone 18 to 20.

The event will include confetti cannons, a New Year’s Eve countdown and other effects, along with performances from a range of DJs. Catering is provided by Cottage Inn and a VIP bottle service is available for purchase.

LIVE Nightclub celebrating New Year’s Eve

Ann Arbor’s LIVE Nightclub, 102 S. First St., offers a full night of partying from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. The evening offers party favors and music curated by DJs. It costs $25, as early bird tickets are $25, and standard general admission tickets are $30.

A limited number of tickets are available in advance, but tickets can be purchased at the door on the evening with cash or credit card.

New Year’s Eve at The Circ Bar

The Circ Bar, 210 S. First St., is hosting a Gatsby-themed party full of live performances from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. General admission is $33 and includes a champagne toast, performers and DJs, as well as party favors.

Performers will do stilt walking, juggling, fire performance, facial balancing, contact juggling, illusion props and trick roller skating. There is also karaoke from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Uplift’s first NYE party in Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor’s newest, fully dedicated LGBTQ+ bar is ringing in the new year with a totally badass event.

Uplift, 210 S. First St., will host a “Wicked” theme night with doors opening Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. The bar will transform into an “emerald dream,” with a drag showcase at 9 p.m. and a themed drinks menu based on characters from “The Wizard of Oz,” until 11 p.m. and a champagne toast at midnight, according to social media posts.

It costs $15 to enter.

HUIZEN NYE 2025

Enjoy even more of a tropical experience as you ring in the new year at HOMES Brewery, 112 Jackson Plaza.

The party is from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. December 31, offering a vegetarian buffet with Polynesian-inspired dishes, cocktails and HOMES Brewery beers on tap.

The party has music by DJ Buff1. Tickets cost $100 and include admission, one drink ticket, buffet access and a champagne toast when the ball drops at midnight.

New Year’s Eve Afternoon Celebration with the Ann Arbor District Library

The library will host an event for children in kindergarten through fifth grade on December 31 from 11 a.m. to noon at 343 South Fifth Ave.

Goldfish Swim School’s Noon Years Eve event

Ann Arbor Swim School is hosting a family-friendly party full of games, prizes and swimming from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 2107 W Stadium Blvd. More information online.

Afternoon New Year’s Eve countdown and balloon drop

A Cinderella-themed balloon drop takes place as children count down to the afternoon of the last day of 2024.

The free event of FIT4MOM Ann Arbor and Enchanted Inn and Events is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stone Chalet, 1917 Washtenaw Ave., and is complete with a thousand balloons, crafts, a juice toast and music.

Anyone interested in attending must register in advance as places are limited. Attendees are also encouraged to dress up in their favorite fairytale costume for the event. More information online.
