Temperatures are expected to rise in the Harrisburg area — even into the 50s — as we enter the final week of the year, according to the National Weather Service in State College.
The maximum temperature for Christmas Day will be 38 degrees with a light northerly wind and the minimum temperature will be around 24 degrees on Wednesday night.
Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs around 39 and calm winds.
Friday will be partly sunny, with highs around 42 degrees and calm winds.
Highs for Saturday will be around 45 degrees. There is a chance of rain showers early Saturday, later in the day and overnight.
On Sunday the high will be around 54. On Sunday there will be an 80% chance of rain both day and night.
Monday will see a high of around 55 degrees with an 80% chance of rain.
Tuesday will be partly sunny, with a chance of rain and a high near 51.
