Although WM is closed on both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, no household collections are scheduled on Wednesdays. Pick-up times are on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Waste containers are also available at five locations in the city for additional bagged household waste. These dumpsters will be marked “City of Brookhaven” and will be available from Tuesday, December 24 through Monday, December 30 at the following locations:

  • AL Lott Sportsplex Parking Lot, South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive
  • Parking lot at the corner of South First Street and East Chickasaw Street, across from the Lincoln County/Brookhaven Government Complex
  • Mamie Martin Parking lot for primary school
  • Lot on the corner of Country Club Road and Brignall Road
  • Parking lot at 1220 Old Hwy. 51 NE at Pik N Pak airport

Only safely packaged household waste may be placed in the containers. Furniture, mattresses, debris, leaves, etc. are not accepted either inside or outside the containers.
