It’s semifinal week of “Dancing with the Stars” 2024.
There are five more couples in Season 33 competing for the mirrorball trophy, which means the competition is heating up.
During the day last week’s episode from DWTS there were individual dances, an instant dance and celebrations of the 500th episode. A celebrity and his partner were sent home at the end of the night in yet another tough elimination.
This week, each couple will perform one final ballroom dance style and one final Latin dance style. There will be a company performance to Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night,” choreographed by Sasha Farber and Ezra Sosa. Tate McRae will perform “greedy (acoustic)” with several professional dancers – choreographed by Mandy Moore – who will be participating in the DWTS LIVE 2025 Tour.

There isn’t really a theme to the week 9 episode of “Dancing with the Stars” 2024, since it’s the semifinals.
The couples will give two completely new performances, one in ballroom dance style and one in Latin dance style.

A celebrity and his partner were eliminated during week 8 of “Dancing with the Stars” season 33 after scoring a 26 on an Argentine tango and a 22 in the instant dance:

Here are the remaining couples and their scores from the 500th episode of “Dancing with the Stars”:
- TV star Chandler Kinney and partner Brandon Armstrong scored a 30 on an Argentine tango and a 30 in the instant dance, for a total of 60.
- Joey Graziadei, the lead of Season 28 of The Bachelor, and partner Jenna Johnson scored a 28 on a Contemporary and a 27 on the Instant Dance, for a total of 55.
- Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and partner Rylee Arnold scored a 29 on the Viennese Waltz and a 25 in the instant dance, for a total of 54.
- Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher and partner Alan Bersten scored a 28 on the Quickstep and a 24 in the Instant Dance, for a total of 52.
- Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola and partner Witney Carson scored a 27 on a Quickstep and a 22 in the Instant Dance, for a total of 51.
