Morley Tea Rooms in Cheshire has been recognized in the Good Food Awards

Morley Tea Rooms, the Cheshire village pub overseen by the wife of Corrie favorite Simon Gregson, has won another Good Food Award. The cozy spot close to Wilmslow claimed victory in the café category of the high-profile culinary event for the second year running – a sign of consistency that was rewarded with the coveted Blue Ribbon award.
The celebrations are in full swing, as Emma went to the establishment Facebook page to share the excitement: “We’ve done it again! Absolutely thrilled to have received the Good Food Award for the second year in a row.” Her post continued to praise her team and loyal customers, saying: “I have the most amazing employees and customers who have all now become friends. I honestly can’t thank you enough for the support you have shown me over the past few years. year I appreciate you all, I really do.”

Emma concluded with sincere thanks and affection for the local community: “Thank you again for all your wonderful support. I love our little community and I’m super proud to be part of such an amazing “family.” See you soon for a catch up and cake.”
Speaking to the MEN after last year’s win, Emma said: ‘I always said I wanted a cafe and years ago when Simon and I first met I bought a tea set and said to him: ‘On one day I will open a tea shop’ Now, 15 years later, we are here, it has become reality.”
“I’ve always been a baker, I bake with the kids and I’ve always found it very therapeutic. But I was nervous at first because it’s a bit different when you start charging for it, but luckily the reviews have been so nice.”
Simon, who often lends a hand, agreed: “Her cooking is amazing, I mean it was like wow, it’s always been next level. I also got to be head taster for the cakes at the start. I think she is a real winner.” fodder.”
Gourmand also received recognition in the café category this year Warringtonwho proudly took home a Blue Ribbon award. The establishment prides itself on being a “little piece of France in Warrington”.
