On Monday, the officer’s family members had found Raj Bala’s strangled body at their home when she was alone. While Bala’s husband Balinder Singh, a lawyer, was at the district court for work, Shilpi, who runs a boutique, was also not at home.

So investigators assumed it was a robbery 75 lakh cash and jewelery were also missing. Following this, Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajiv Deswal formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT)

under Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajesh Kumar, including in-charge of CIA-1, CIA-2, Burglary Staff and SHO, Women’s Police Station.

Addressing a press conference to announce the findings, DSP Kumar said that during the investigation, CCTV cameras in the area were checked and suspects were interrogated.
