Young filmmakers in Bangladesh tend to make films of varying lengths despite challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, funding shortages and other obstacles in film education and practice. Their efforts are often unsupported, with limited opportunities for proper guidance and exhibition.
To encourage and help these aspiring makers, Tareque Masud Memorial Trust (TMMT), Independent Film Producers’ Platform of Bangladesh (IFPPB) and Cine Craft have organized a screening process titled Technical Show, a press release said.

Furthermore, in response to the enthusiasm of young filmmakers and their submissions, the Technical Show event will take place bi-weekly every month.
The late filmmaker Tareque Masud was deeply committed to supporting and inspiring young talents and that is why this event is dedicated to him.
This initiative gives aspiring filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their creations to a mix of experienced and new filmmakers, industry professionals and audience members. They will provide feedback and advice to emerging filmmakers on their exhibited films.
The Tareque Masud Memorial Trust believes that emerging filmmakers can gather valuable feedback and responses by presenting their work in a limited and supportive environment before presenting it at festivals or to wider audiences. The process will allow them to move forward with confidence.
