Vicky Kaushal is undoubtedly one of the most popular stars in Bollywood. He started his career with a bang in the critically acclaimed Masaan (2015) and has since impressed audiences with his versatility. However, before becoming an actor, Vicky was an assistant director and worked on films like Gangs Of Wasseypur. In a recent conversation, Vicky’s father, noted action director Sham Kaushal, recalled asking Anurag Kashyap to hire Vicky.
“If I ever called for him, it was during that time. I had called Anurag (Kashyap) and asked if he would give Vicky an internship. So he (Vicky) took a train to join Anurag. There he learned that nothing is easy. He worked very hard and became part of the second unit and they had to shoot openly for which they were often caught (by the police). But that’s fun, you learn from it. It is his journey, that is how he will learn,” Sham said while speaking to Friday Talkies.
