Summary
The Hornets The odds looked bleak early in the third quarter after falling behind the Pacers 64-51, but then Brandon Miller happened. Miller hit five threes and 17 points in the quarter to lift the Hornets to a 74-66 lead late in the third quarter, capping a 23-2 run.
The Hornets never looked back from there as they outscored the Pacers 29-17 in the fourth quarter, setting up a thrilling second half from start to finish as Charlotte turned up the defense and started knocking down their shots.
LaMelo Ball fouled out in the fourth quarter as he scored 17 points. Ball struggled with his shot all game, but found a way to hit big triples when it mattered most. Both Miller and Ball had 17 points in separate quarters, which just shows the ecstatic future the Hornets have with these players.
Cody Martin also played a crucial role in this victory with 15 points and three three-pointers in 27 minutes. To complement such a solid night, he also had a plus/minus of +39, proving his worth on the court.
Best of the Night – Brandon Miller
Miller had a solid outing ahead of him in the first half with nine points, but once the second half started he started to feast on his defenders. Miller lit it up with 17 points in the third quarter and ultimately finished with 29 points for the game. Those 29 points were a season-high and his seven three-pointers tied his previous career high. Miller’s five threes in the third quarter were also the most by a Hornet in a quarter since the 1996-97 season.
Worst of the night – Tyrese Haliburton
Tyrese Haliburton’s early season struggles continued as he had a tough outing in Charlotte. Haliburton had just six points and held Indiana’s offense to just 83 points. This clip not only sums up Haliburton’s night, but his season as well.

Stat of the night – Moussa Diabate Career evening on glass
On a night with a lot of ridiculous stats, Moussa Diabate put up possibly one of the craziest stats of the season. Diabate has been relatively solid for most of the season, but has never had such a significant performance as he did tonight. Diabate finished the game with zero points, zero assists, 15 rebounds and three blocks. Not only that, but Diabate also finished the game with a +34 plus/minus in the game. The Hornets desperately needed a performance like this with Nick Richards and Mark Williams absent for extended periods.
