The Salem man wanted for kidnapping is a “violent offender” who may be armed, police warn

SALEM Ore. (KPTV) – A Salem man “considered a violent offender” is wanted on kidnapping and domestic violence charges, Salem police said Thursday.

Police say 44-year-old Javier Banuelos Munoz Jr. an outstanding parole violation warrant from the Oregon State Parole Board and is wanted on charges of first and second degree kidnapping.

Police said “investigators have exhausted all efforts” to find Banuelos Munoz and are now asking for help finding him. Police also warned people that Banuelos Munoz is considered a violent offender with possible access to firearms.

Javier Banuelos Munoz, Jr.:

  • He is a Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes. He generally wears his hair shaved and has a beard.
  • He is approximately 1.80 meters tall and has a ‘medium build’.
  • He has several tattoos, including one on the right side of his neck, and it says “Munoz” in script letters.
