DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said they were alerted to a stolen car at a 7-Eleven Saturday morning.
The sheriff’s office said they arrived in the area of Castle Pines Parkway and Beverly Boulevard. They found the suspect, a 45-year-old man from Colorado Springs.
They took the driver into custody during a ‘high-risk stop’. The sheriff’s office said they found a gun in the man’s jacket pocket, as well as several different types of drugs in his car.
The man was taken to prison. The sheriff’s office said he faces charges of motor vehicle theft, drug possession and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
