Aviva Health will keep ‘veterinarians and their pets’ in honor of those who have served in the armed forces

Aviva Health will host its annual Veterans Day celebration for veterinarians and their pets on Thursday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 150 NE Kenneth Ford Drive in Roseburg.

This event honors veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces with a free lunch prepared by Aviva Health employees. The Myrtle Creek Elks Lodge will hold a flag ceremony and Aviva Health employees will sing the national anthem. Complimentary massages and haircuts are available, while other vendors on site share helpful information and resources.

Veterans are invited to bring their pets for free services such as rabies vaccines and basic exams provided by For the Love of Paws, and basic grooming services from Sutherlin Pets & Grooming.

“Aviva Health always looks out for veterinarians and their pets, a great opportunity to recognize the service and sacrifice of our military veterans,” said Ron Harper, Chief of Staff of Aviva Health and himself a retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Chief of Logistics. “Douglas County is home to many veterans, and we take this opportunity to thank you for all they have done for our country.”
