Georgia is currently battling for wins on the field, while the second-place Bulldogs enter the home stretch of the season with all their College Football Playoff hopes right in front of them.
But they had a different kind of victory on Tuesday, on the recruiting trail, when 4-star wide receiver Vance Spafford from the Class of 2026 committed to the Bulldogs. Spafford isn’t big by SEC standards, as he stands just 6-foot-4 and 175 pounds, but the Tustin, California product is a big asset for Georgia.
After all, Spafford chose Georgia over Ole Miss, the Bulldogs’ opponent on Saturday, as well as Oregon and Nebraska.
“All glory to God, go Dawgs!!” he said via On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Spafford, ranked No. 74 in the 2026 On3 Industry Rankings, was spotted in Athens less than a month ago for the Mississippi State game.
“As they say, when you know, you know,” Spafford told On3. “I definitely felt it right after we left the facility to go home from Georgia. I wanted to take my time, because I didn’t want to just react from emotion. I just wanted to make sure. And my feelings held steady for about three weeks, and I was ready to make the move.”
