Robbery in Adabraka: Residents say they are in a state of fear

Residents of Adabraka, a suburb of Accra’s central business district, say they are living in fear after a daylight attack. robbery incident that occurred last weekend.

“We are not safe at all; we are still scared,” said one resident.

The residents revealed that this recent robbery is the third incident in the past three months, with the crime attributed to a lack of security in the area. Some residents also accused the business owner of not prioritizing the store’s security.

According to residents, there is no permanent police facility in the area, which has contributed to the recurrence of such robberies. They also said the armed robbers threw about GHȼ30,000 of the stolen money into the air before fleeing the scene.

In light of these incidents, they have called on the police to set up a permanent station in the area.
