BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) – Just before 2 p.m. today, the temperature rose to 72 degrees Fahrenheit, breaking the old record of 73 degrees Fahrenheit set in 1971. It felt a little more like Labor Day than Halloween. A cold front arrives late tonight bringing a stiff breeze, a few widespread showers and temperatures dropping into the upper 40s Friday morning. Tomorrow’s highs will be a full 25 degrees cooler than Halloween’s. There will be a strong breeze all day with lots of cloud and a few rain showers. Expect the cool weather to continue through the weekend. Another warm-up is waiting in the wings early next week. On election day, we’ll revisit the 1970s for highlights.
