NDC will not tolerate intimidation in elections – Ashanti Regional Chairman | Politics

The Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, says the party will not tolerate any form of intimidation before, during and after the December general elections.

Speaking at a rally in Obuasi on Wednesday during the Ashanti Regional campaign tour of NDC Vice Presidential Candidate Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman said the party has a robust plan to protect its votes in the 2024 elections.

He, therefore, urged NDC members and supporters to turn out in their droves on election day and vote en masse for NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama and the party’s parliamentary candidates.

Nana Kwasi, while commenting on abandoned development projects in the region, said the next NDC government will work with traditional authorities to promote development in the region.

He said women empowerment is also very high on the agenda of the next NDC government. Nana Kwasi added that the lofty plans of the NDC Development Plan for the Ashanti Region can only become a reality if the people of the region vote for the party.

He therefore urged the electorate to vote en masse for Mr Mahama so that he can reset the country, create jobs for the youth and financially empower women through the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank.
