Officers with the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a burglary at the Tubbs Brothers car dealership.
A news release from the sheriff’s office said the burglary occurred Wednesday morning at the dealership on West Sanilac Road in Sandusky.
The suspects in a burglary at a car dealership in Sandusky were reportedly seen leaving in a gray Dodge Durango on October 30, 2024.
Officers arrived after receiving a call about the burglary around 5 a.m. and found a vehicle partially parked in the dealership’s lobby, with someone apparently attempting to drive it out of the dealership through the glass windows of the showroom floor .
Security footage from the dealership showed that four people arrived at the dealership around 3:45 a.m. The group allegedly stole several license plates before attempting to drive a Dodge Hornet from the lobby out of the dealership. The car was significantly damaged during the attempt. The group is seen around 4:15 a.m. in a gray Dodge Durango.
