Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Patrick Terrell Brown, 45, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in a news release Monday afternoon.

On Friday, ICSO officers were alerted by other agencies that a possible suspect vehicle from a robbery in North Georgia was entering the county, Campbell said.

Officers from the ICSO Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team quickly located a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description and drove north on Interstate 77, the news release said.

When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect attempted to flee, Campbell said. The chase ended when one of the car’s tires deflated, forcing the suspect to stop.

The suspect, later identified as Brown, exited the window and attempted to run away. However, officers were quickly able to arrest the suspect.

A search of the suspect and the vehicle revealed an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be related to the armed robbery in North Georgia, the news release said.

Brown was charged with being a fugitive from justice, fleeing a felony or evading arrest in a motor vehicle, resisting an officer or delaying an officer, misdemeanor reckless driving and speeding, failing to stop for a siren.

Brown was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was issued a $75,000 bond.
