MLC Balmoor Venkat demanded that details of all persons who attended the ‘rave party’ be made public and said Rama Rao should respond as his close aide tested positive for cocaine.
“This (the involvement of KTR’s close associates in the field of drugs) is the reason behind the increase in drug culture in the state in the last decade,” he said.
He added that the state government wants a transparent investigation into the matter.
“All the BRS did during its 10-year rule was to hold rave parties and get the youth addicted to drugs,” said Shiv Sena Reddy, chairman of the Sports Authority of Telangana (SAT).
He said the “rave party” culture must end.
Meanwhile, K Sujatha, chairman of the Vaishya Corporation, filed a complaint with the police seeking a thorough investigation into the matter.
