The woman admits to participating in the dismemberment and burning of the man’s body

BRADFORD COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman pleaded guilty in Bradford County Court for her role in the dismemberment and burning of a man’s body in March 2024.

Summer Lynn Heil, 37, Harrisburg, pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of hindering apprehension. According to the Bradford County District Attorney, she initially faced several misdemeanor charges in connection with helping Ronda and Terry Parker cover up the death of Michael Pruitt.

As part of the plea agreement, Heil will testify against the Parkers.

“During motions, Heil admitted that she played no role in the murder of Michael Pruitt, which is consistent with all evidence presented at prior hearings.” District Attorney Richard Wilson noted. “However, during her testimony, Heil added several important statements, confirming that she saw two revolvers in Terry Parker’s Harrisburg apartment shortly before the murders,” he added. Wilson added.

Wilson noted that this was important because prior testimony suggested Pruitt was
killed with antique revolvers found in Terry Parker’s apartment.

On March 8, Pruitt was shot twice by Terry at Ronda’s home on Sawyer Road in Springfield Township, Bradford County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

State police say Terry and Ronda drove from Springfield Township to Harrisburg with the body in the car. Text messages show they were eating ice cream with their children while Pruitt’s body was in the car.

Heil, Terry’s then girlfriend, joined the couple when they returned to Bradford County.

According to state police, Heil and Terry worked to dismember and burn Pruitt’s body while Ronda cleaned the inside of the house.

Heil is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
