BLUEFIELD, Va. (WVVA) – The Department of Justice announced that a 23-year-old from Boone County pleaded guilty to possession of prepubescent child pornography.
Court documents and statements made in court show that on January 17, 23-year-old Trenton Alan Cremeans had approximately 115 photos and 22 videos of child pornography on his cell phone. The Justice Department said Cremeans admitted that the photos and videos depicted prepubescent children engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Cremeans also admitted to downloading images and videos from the Internet and using a cell phone to search the Internet for child pornography and related information using specific search terms, the Justice Department said.
The Department of Justice said Cremeans is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 16, 2025, and faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, a minimum of five years to life of supervised release and a fine of $250,000.
Cremeans must also register as sex offenders.
