KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A 13-year-old went viral for his dance moves on the jumbotron during Saturday’s Tennessee-Florida football game.
Cayson Cagle is the teenager who had Tennessee fans going crazy throughout Saturday’s game before the Vols won on an overtime touchdown against Florida.
“I look at the jumbotron and I’m up there! Then everyone around me told me to dance and I just started doing my best,” Cayson told WVLT News.

Cagle’s dance was posted on social media during the game and went viral almost immediately.
“If he wasn’t on (the jumbotron), they would have been booing, and if it had come back to him, they would have started cheering again,” said Carly Cagle, Cayson’s sister. You can see him pumping up his little brother in Cayson’s dancing videos.
The fandom continued into Sunday morning, when his post was even published on the official Tennessee Football X website, formerly known as Twitter.
Cayson told WVLT News he didn’t expect the buzz around his dance to be so big.
“I thought maybe I’d watch some TikToks and the whole family would talk about how I dance. This is what became crazy,” Cayson said.
Videos of Cayson dancing have garnered millions of views on social media platforms. He even caught the attention of his favorite football player, Dylan Sampson.
“It’s my dream to meet him,” Cayson said. “He posted about me on his Instagram story, saying, ‘he killed it’ or something like that, and I was shocked. I almost fainted.”
On Monday night, Dylan Sampson reposted Cagle’s video with the caption, “Let’s do it.”
Cayson will join the WVLT crew behind the desk for the Big Orange Kickoff prior to Tennessee’s game against Alabama. Special broadcasts are broadcast on Saturday at 10:00.
