Major storms with multiple threats to the East Coast may be combined into a separate system

Meanwhile, there is a separate system that is a boost from Tropical Storm Sara may arrive around the same time.

The system will bring areas of snow and strong winds across the Great Lakes region in the coming days. according to AccuWeather.com.

Rainfall from the storm and a cold front are expected to arrive on the East Coast on Wednesday evening, November 20.

“The more likely conditions of the storm, depending on intensity, will be a period of strong winds centered on the Great Lakes but spreading through much of the Midwest toward the East,” said Brett Anderson, Senior Meteorologist at AccuWeather.

Rain is likely to continue throughout the day on Thursday, November 21, with showers possible through Friday, November 22, according to the National Weather Service.

As the cold front approaches, a secondary storm could also quickly form along the East Coast, bringing tropical moisture from Sara across the Gulf of Mexico, AccuWeather says.

There is some uncertainty about the exact timing of both systems and more forecast models will develop in the coming days.
