No. 1 Oregon avoided a painful loss against Wisconsin on Saturday evening and won with a final score of 16-13 at Camp Randall Stadium.

Dillon Gabriel recorded his first game of the season without a passing touchdown, throwing an interception in the red zone during the first quarter.

However, he was still able to make plays and extend the drive in the second half to help the Ducks remain undefeated after entering the fourth quarter trailing 13–6.

Gabriel finished 22 of 31 for 218 yards.

Oregon also secured the victory thanks to a strong performance from junior running back Jordan James. He picked up 121 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries, and added another 25 yards as a receiver.

Ducks head coach Dan Lanning remained aggressive and attempted a fake field goal with his team leading by three points with just under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Oregon was unable to convert, but the team still earned the victory with an interception by defensive end Matayo Uiagalelei on a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage.

Fans were impressed with the Ducks as they averted a potentially shocking loss.

11-0, no team in America deserves a bye week more than Oregon. A courageous victory on the road in a big environment after 8 games in a row. Get a win, get healthy and prepare for the games that matter.

Oregon outlasts Wisconsin.
Ducks haven’t had a bye since mid-September. Eight games played in a row before next week’s farewell game.
Made three cross-country skiing trips since the beginning of October.
That’s a more impressive win for the Ducks than you realize

Every championship team must survive a low-scoring game in a hostile venue, and the Ducks passed the test.

All good teams have one. The great ones find a way to win. That’s exactly what happened tonight.
Oregon passes a huge test, hitting the second bye 11-0. A week to get right for a late-season rivalry week matchup with Washington. There’s a lot to clean up, but a W is a W.

Ugly, ugly win, but I’m glad we escaped. This bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for Oregon. Needs to get healthy and clean up the execution and call. SCOOOO DUCKS! #ScoDucks
