Will Marvel’s Werewolf By Night TV Show Get a Sequel? Here’s what director Michael Giacchino says

For fans of both the MCU and the horror genre, Disney+ Agata all the way was the perfect cross between crazy fun and Marvel magic, and it delivered viewers have changed the reasons to follow them. That said, we’d all like to see the comic book-focused studio add more spooky and scary offerings to its lineup for 2025 TV season and more, like another standalone special (or more). Gael Garcia Bernal Werewolf at night. But could this happen?

This is one of many questions fans ask since the first special episode aired in October 2022, marking the first all-black-and-white MCU project. (At least until a color version is added for people with Disney+ Subscriptions.) The all-time great composer Michael Giacchino, who directed Werewolf at night unique, I talked to Brandon Davis about his upcoming work on Matt Shakman Fantastic Four: First Steps and other projects, and when the topic of further appearances by Bernal’s Jack Russell came up, he replied:

Where is the Werewolf at night? That’s a great question. I’ll ask you too. But no, there’s a lot going on in the industry and everyone’s sort of recalibrating, so I think some things had to be put aside for now. We’ll get there

Ah, you, the old glory days of 2022, when it seemed obvious Kevin Feige will continue to support MCU horror by restoring Man-Thing as the new leader Avengers: Judgment Day and others upcoming Marvel movies. Wait, it could have just been in my head and not what everyone else was thinking. But the general point is that two years have passed Werewolf at night came out, Marvel tightened its proverbial purse strings and became more conservative in its development plan.

We’d like to think so Deadpool and WolverineThe mega-earnings are a sign that good things could be happening all around, but the studio sat out and reconfigured a lot of things upcoming TV projects recently, since Iron Heart Down The eyes of Wakanda Down Daredevil: Reborn. That doesn’t mean these programs are being shelved or anything, just that more discretion is required.

For this purpose Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is the only other release currently featuring the Marvel Studios special presentation banner Werewolf at nighteven though the studio made it seem like it was a regular place to go to find less highlighted favorite comics. Sure, there are rumors of a special series supposedly revolving around Mephisto, but considering how many unconfirmed rumors have swirled around the character, it’s not safe to put all those goose eggs in the basket.

I think it’s safe to say that horror projects are not on Marvel’s radar because The long awaited Mahershala Ali Edge restart has been maturing for years without any official start of production. And I’m still waiting for some kind of return of Ghost Rider, especially if Diego Luna returns to this role. If they can bring in Robert Downey Jr. back to being Doctor Doom, getting Luna back on the bike should be a breeze. (Let’s get Chucky into the MCU while we’re at it.)

For now, even the director of the first special has no idea what’s going on with this character, but we hope something changes… or transforms… on this issue in the near future.
