MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ala. (W.S.F.A) – A Montgomery woman was killed in an early morning crash.
The wreck occurred on U.S. Highway 80 just before 12:45 a.m. Thursday when a car driven by Wilbert A. Brooks, 63, of Montgomery, left the road and struck a tree.
The passenger, Carol W. Lowe, 63, also of Montgomery, was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.
Brooks was taken to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment of his injuries.
The incident happened about three miles west of Montgomery.
ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.
