Man arrested after armed robbery at a Southington gas station

SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) – Police say a suspect was arrested Wednesday after an armed robbery in Southington.

North Branford police arrest a man for a 2019 bank robbery

The incident happened at the Go Happy gas station on the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike. Officials said a 911 caller reported that a black man had entered the gas station, displayed a gun and demanded money. He then allegedly walked behind the counter and took money from the cash register himself.

Police said several other robberies occurred on the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike earlier this week, and the suspect’s description matched this one. Officers arrested the suspect, 33-year-old Jeremy Edmond, as he pulled into the on-ramp to I-84. He was held on a $1 million bond and appeared in court Thursday.
