Police are still looking for other suspects.
On Oct. 25, KCPD said KCTV detectives identified five suspects in a shooting at the Midtwon business. In the ensuing fallout, the city of Kansas City closed Westport Media Collective after the shooting, claiming the company did not have a valid operating license. The company also did not have a current inspection from the fire marshal and had to close immediately due to the violations.
A KCPD spokesperson told KCTV in early October about the five people injured in the shooting, three had critical injuries and two others had serious injuries.
