Violation in Milford City Park Leads to Drug Arrest

MILFORD, Del. – A reported park violation in Milford led to the arrest of a Greenwood man Monday evening.

Just before 10 p.m., officers observed a vehicle parked in the Memorial Park Basketball Court area on S. Washington Street and contacted the driver as he was in a city park after hours. Police say further investigation led to the call in of a Delaware State Police K-9, resulting in the recovery of approximately 13.91 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia indicative of drug trafficking.

The driver, 19-year-old Ben Carter, was charged with manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Level 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance in a Level 2 quantity and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $12,500 bail.
