In the wake of being placed on injured reserve, Miami Dolphins tackle Kendall Lamm took to social media to explain his situation.
Lamm started his post on Instagram by saying that he is the type of person who always looks for information from the source. Lamm explained that it was a back injury that put him on injured reserve, a back injury that required surgery.
“It was one of the harder things I had to deal with,” Lamm said. “I have a disc in my left side and my back that is bulging into one of my nerves, causing my entire left side to go numb. Trying to sleep at night has been one of the hardest things. been trying to sleep at night. I tried to try some more things, even that Sunday morning before the game, like I could barely feel some things on my left side. But of course we do, we try to do what we can for the team , and I know we wanted that making it to the playoffs and playing is near and dear to me. It’s something sacred, so I’m doing my best to do what I can to help.
“But at the same time, as I’ve been told, this is nothing to play around with, so the procedure will be done when it’s done. And you know, I appreciate all the well wishes and stuff. I know I said this might be possible to happen.” it will be my last year, and we will cross that bridge when we get there. I just want my dogs to take care of business this Sunday and hopefully get to the playoffs. So God bless you, Happy New Year, and take care of yourselves. “
Lamm took over at right tackle after Austin Jackson suffered a season-ending knee injury and started seven of the 15 games he played for the Dolphins in 2024, which was his 10th season in the NFL.
He said on social media that this would be his final season after re-signing with the Dolphins this offseason. but he clearly didn’t close the door when he came back.
He will be a free agent next season after signing a one-year contract with the Dolphins.
The only game Lamm missed this season came in Week 15 against the Houston Texans due to his back injury, but he was able to play the following week against the San Francisco 49ers and was removed from the injury report last week before playing any offensive line. won the 20-3 victory against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday.
Then came the sudden news on Wednesday that he was being placed in the wounded reserve. And now we know why.
