Netflix fans can’t contain their excitement as Netflix teases the final five episodes of the beloved comedy-drama series, Cobra Kai.
Serving as a sequel to the Karate Kid series, the martial arts show follows Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) thirty-three years after his loss to Danny LeRusso (Ralph Maccio) as he reopens his old karate dojo.
The show was streamed for the first time YouTube in 2018 before being sold to Netflix after two seasons.
Each season traditionally has ten episodes, but after an emotional journey spanning seven years, the sixth and final season features 25 episodes to bring this story to a dramatic conclusion.
Although part one and part two have already been released, fans will still have to wait a little longer before the final batch of episodes hits the streamer in February 2025.
For now, Netflix has released a teaser trailer that teases this franchise’s forty-year reach and “a legacy that will live forever.”
“This may be the end, but Cobra Kai never dies,” the teaser ends with an oft-repeated mantra from its large and dedicated fanbase.
Called the “greatest karate saga of all time,” the teaser caption reads, “This may be the end, but we’re not good at saying goodbye…because COBRA KAI NEVER DIES!”
Part two ended with a big twist following the shocking death of Kwon Jae-Sung (Brandon H. Lee) during a global karate tournament that took place in Barcelona, leaving many fans intrigued to see how the tournament would continue after such a tragic turn.
“I’m so excited for the final episodes,” @turnerwj1 wrote on X.
“I’m honest… I’ll cry when the series ends in February. COBRA KAI NEVER DIES! One of the best series in a long time will be missed!’ @j22_super added.
“I’m excited to see the final episodes but will miss this show dearly,” echoed @blindman20_20.
‘I can’t wait. I’m sad it’s ending,” @marcwaller said.
“End of an era, what a six years it’s been,” @lukithunderewc reflected.

‘I will miss #CobraKai very much. It was the show I didn’t know I needed, but I’m glad I watched every moment of it. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!’ @guardians_comic said.
“I still can’t process how we went from seeing these characters fight in the 80s to seeing their children carry on the legacy and now we have to say goodbye to both generations,” said @pattherogue.
“I’m going to miss Cobra Kai, but all good things eventually come to an end,” @english_shamar said sympathetically.
“Looks like Netflix dropped the first teaser for Part 3 of Cobra Kai Season 6 before Christmas Eve, awesome,” @bart2389 celebrated.
Most fans even declared that the series – Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg ‘is so good’ that they ‘don’t want it to end’.
Josh opened up about part three and what to expect from it in a recent interview with Collider, saying it should “account for everything that happened in part two.”
He continued, “We like being in a place where you have that fear of, “Well, where are you going next? How does the show respond? How does the world react?”.

“We need to end this series the way we always planned, so we deliberately painted ourselves into a corner, knowing how we were going to get out.”
In short, the last five episodes have “the anticipation of the great unknown and the hope of explosiveness.”
The showrunner also confirmed that the kids on the show would graduate near the end of high school so they can send them off to “adulthood.”
Cobra Kai isn’t the only long-running show that’s coming to an end soon. Stranger Things, one of the streamer’s flagship shows, packaged production his final season last week.
Cobra Kai is currently streaming on Netflix. Season six, part three, will be released on February 13, 2025.
