The three-time Pro Bowler has seven sacks, which ranks fourth in the NFL. His 15 quarterback hits are tied for third in the league, he has the third-most pass rush win rate and ranks fourth in pressures.
Of the top 10 leaders fired, his time to dismissal is the shortest. He has three multi-sack games and did so over the course of several weeks against the Giants and Browns. Overall, he has been incredible through the first seven weeks of the season.
Let’s take a closer look at Hendrickson as a pass rusher and see how consistently he got to opposing quarterbacks:
It all starts with his exit for Hendrickson. He is a very explosive passer who gives the ball back with the best of them. According to NextGenStats, Hendrickson has the ninth-fastest passer rating in the NFL.
Not only does his physical ability help him shoot the ball, but he also anticipates snaps and can jump at the sight of the first move. Of course, one way Hendrickson wins as a pass rusher is by playing outside. It simply turns the rush into a race to see who can get to the top faster. He was fired from the Browns for:

Hendrickson has absolutely no unnecessary movements in this action, which allows him to win the corner. He can get through hands and turn the corner when he gets there to turn a win into a sack.
Another way Hendrickson can weaponize his explosion is to use it to convert speed into power and undermine the attacker’s inside shoulder:

When Hendrickson gets hit on the spot, he quickly notices it and turns all his speed into power, punching straight into the attacker’s chest. Hendrickson’s goal on these plays is to win the offensive tackle. This is the shortest route to the quarterback for him and is perfect for his ability to win with a quick play outside.
The third way, perhaps Hendrickson’s most common way, is to win by beating the attacker’s hands. Hendrickson has a chop club rip combo that he often performs, along with a swing motion that he will use to hit hands. He generally uses these moves to win on the outside rather than the inside, but either way it is extremely effective.

Hendrickson’s goal on this play is to beat the outside hand of the tackle, and he uses a cut to do so. Then you have to keep your hands off him as he continues to work on the quarterback.

The swing is effective because during this action he never allows the attacker’s hands to reach him. This allows him to turn the corner and reach the quarterback at a depth of about eight meters. However, there is too much room for the quarterback to get up and tackle it, so it doesn’t result in a sack.
Hendrickson also had a chance to go against a defender against the Giants and beat him with a shot to center.

It’s the same idea as his outward swipe. The purpose of this move is to beat the hands and get a clear path to the quarterback. The ball came out too fast to be considered a sack, but the player clears the defender and has a free run to the quarterback.
Finally, Hendrickson has done a solid job over the last three years of putting his hands up and hitting the ball when he can’t get to the quarterback. It’s rare that Hendrickson doesn’t have a chance to get to the quarterback, but when he does, he always finds a way to influence the passer:

Hendrickson receives a lot of support in this action and before the defender leaves the pitch, the ball goes outside. He recognizes this and jumps up to knock the ball down. This is a great way to continue to punish teams even if they are paying close attention to him.
Hendrickson is having another Pro Bowl season and shows no signs of slowing down. All of his stats are consistent with his history of being a top 5 pass rusher in the NFL. Teams still pay him a lot of attention and treat him with respect. If he can continue this production throughout the season, he may become an All-Pro for the first time in his career.
